The first Techtextil Middle East Symposium will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center in January. Organized by Epoc Messe Frankfurt GmbH, for the first time there will be a Techtextil Pavilion and Symposium and a conference developed by International Newsletters. The symposium will introduce delegates to the potential of technical textiles in all market areas, but particularly in the safety and protection market. The meeting will feature speakers from a wide range of international companies active in the production and application of advanced and high-performance textiles and will pay specific attention to application areas and issues relevant to Middle Eastern markets, such as the difficulties faced by users operating in hot, arid climates. In addition to the three sessions, the symposium will feature intensive discussion forums giving the speakers and audience a chance to interact and discuss in detail the many possibilities that high performance textile materials offer the market and region. Delegates will learn about the advantages of using technical textile materials in safety and protective clothing, filtration, civil engineering and construction, and numerous other applications related to Safety & Health, Fire & Rescue and Homeland Security. The two-day session will be held the afternoon of January 19 and all-day Janaury 20 and will feature speakers from TenCate, Norafin, Technical Absorbents as well as a number of companies and consultancies involved in Technical Textiles.
